I talked to Allied Interstate about how paying off my debt would reflect on my credit report. I was asking them to send something showing that is was closed in good standing, because I was only contacted about this debt after it was in collections. Talk about rude! I have already been paying off this debt on time every month since February. He was speaking to me as if I had no intentions of ever paying anything. He was basically telling me that if I changed this information on my credit report it would be "immoral", and he would not "sell his soul to the devil for the measly ... dollars". This guy completely aggressive without a cause, and was not listening to anything that I was asking. I asked to speak to a manager and he said "I deny your request". I do not recall ever dealing with someone this rude on the phone, especially when they are already receiving the money for the debt in which I owe. I plan to write to them, the FTC, and the Better Business Bureau. I was in tears after speaking with this guy, and no company should have the right to treat anyone in the mannor in which he treated me. It is not even like I was not paying my debt. The first time I spoke with someone about this debt I was told that I was being sent to collections and the amount that I vowed to pay per month "wasn't good enough", and I was hung up on. I had to actually call back to set up the same payments in which I proposed to the rude lady that hung up on me. What is that? If anyone has experienced anything like this with this company, please contact me at AshutiReynolds@msn.com.
