If you have only a year and then become free of debt...keep paying...but only pay what you can afford....if you have no assets even if they sue they cannot get anything...you may be whats called "judgement proof" and depending on the size of the single debts they may not even sue...I had a CC debt for a little over 3 grand..no assets but a decent job and they didnt sue.....believe it or not...you are in control...not them...don't believe anything they say......good luck
