Capital One ...Ceased & Desist

Capital One sent me a letter regarding a Provident bank account that's about 2yrs old one that was sold to them.

I sent them a C&D letter within the required 30 days and would you know they turned around and sold it to another collection agency. I just wanted them to prove that the debt was mine. I guess they could not. I'm going to send a C&D letter to this. I just want them to prove it's mind.
