Hi All - recently filed for chapter 7, had made payment arrangements with the Devil, I mean Capital One before I filed. Called Capital One and told them of the filing, had to REQUEST they cancel the "checks by mail" and the lady told me that they would not list this as "satisfied judgement" because it was after some 60 day time period. She said they would not actively collect it (hmm, if I hadn't said, oh By the BY are you cancelling the checks by phone? they would actively have collected -- pretty sneaky) but on my records it would still be listed as a valid judgement. Are they blowing smoke up my yin yang or is this true and correct. Thanks for the help.
