Background: State of Arizona
On 14 Aug 03, I became aware of a credit card debt my wife had failed to pay that was in her name only (Seems sad that I was unaware my wife had more than one credit card account I knew nothing about). The total amount due at this time is $3,309.75 which includes accrued interest. First Resolution Manegement Corporation is the collecting agency. After the shock and awe wore off and being the good husband I have decided to assist my wife in resolving this matter in which I/we do not dispute since this is a just debt. I firmly believe this needs to be payed because this is the right thing to do.

PROBLEM:
I contacted the collector and began to negotiate. First she said this needed to be paid in full as we are doing pre-legal stuff and are about to send this to the attorney general for a civil claims judgement and since this matter does not directly involve you but because you and your wife are joint home owners this will effect you. I offered the collector the following payment plan, 1. $1,000 good faith payment 15 Aug 03, 2. 4 payments (1 every two weeks for $587 dollars. Thats it bill paid in full? NOT SO FAST, the collector accepted the $1,000 good faith payment and says she can only hold this for 60 days and will need the rest sooner than i projected?

Question:
Should I call her back and tell them this is not a bad offer and they should take it?

With this offer in writing I am sending them should I tell them if they do not like the offer take me to court and lets see what the judge thinks about my offer.

And last if the sue me what can they do to me or my home.

Thanks
