Just out of curiosity, who's the CA ?

Putting this back on your report is ILLEGAL RE-AGING and you can sue these scumbags for it and collect a few thousand dollars for yourself !!

Credit cards are NOT written contracts, so whatever the SOL in your state is for open-ended accounts, THAT's the period you use and YES, the SOL has long ago expired.

Send these dirtbags WhyChat's SOL/C&D letter and send them packing. You don't have to pay them a damn thing, so don't let them scare you. They cannot LEGALLY sue you and if they do, the SOL is your absolute defense.

Negative items can only stay on your report for 7 years from the charge-off date if it was charged off after 1997. Pre-1997, they stay on for 7 years from the first delinquency, NOT the charge-off date.

Send them the C&D letter, then turn around and immediately dispute anything they've put on your credit report as illgally re-aged and obsolete. Then sue their butts for FCRA violaions, and throw in defamation and damages !
