They are reporting the charge-off date.

Prior to Jan. 1998 if an account was charged off, even if the cc company didn't charge it off for 2 years after default, the 7 year reporting period started at the chargeoff date.

The FCRA requirement states that acconts charged off after 12/97 must have the first date of delinquency reported.

Try disputing it to the CRA as obsolete,state in your letter to them you have records that prove the DOLA was in 1995.
