Need Northland Group Info

Hi! I need help! I live in Florida and had a CC account that I never paid back in 1999. After getting a copy of my credit report I remembered the debt (it was only about $500) and went to find who to pay. At the time, a company called the Northland Group owned it. They offered me a settlement in which I made 3 equal payments. I made all three payments (this was in September of 2002) an never heard from them again. I just got a letter from a company called Allied Interstate saying I never paid it. I have my cancelled checks but Allied says they dont show what I was paying for. I stupidly threw away the letters from Northland Group to contact them so have no way of proving I paid this debt. Please Help! Any info would be great!
