Thought I would start a new thread.
Tomorrow I have a return call to make to a person named Paula at the Ohio AGs office. She returnd a call to me from last week. We havn't talked yet, but she gave me a direct line to her office. I intend to try and explain to her our concerns, and ask about any procedure they have that results in a submittal of information in an effort to get offical opinion on this matter from the Ags office. The IRS does this routinely, on tax code ??, and then issue an Opinion Letter. As you also have seen, the FTC does the same in interperting the FDCPA, and FCRA. I have to believe the State AGs Office has a procedure to do likewise. If they do, perhaps we can ask Why Chat to help us put things together in a manner that is clear, precise, easy to follow and to the point. I will get back tomorrow after I talk with this person, and let all of you know what information I can get.
