I just got my first call from them demanding that I make settlement arrangements with them today. The balance is $3500 and they will accept $2400. They demanded a $300 payment today and was obviously looking at my credit report as they were question me about my assets and who could give me the money to pay them. They also said they would call my former place of employment to verify that I no longer work there. I am concerned because I do own a home. I can pay the $2400 by the end of September. They said this was the last stage of collection and that I had to pay them by the end of the month. Do you think I have time to pay them? I have missed a few of their calls and I have not received anything ever from them by mail. Do I still have time to pay them before they enter a judgement?

Thank you.
