Friend of mine is creative in unusual ways. Two score of years ago he tired of heaps of cat plops in the litter box, unsightly as they were in the cramped apartment he and his then-fiance shared.
The solution? Between box cleanings and just for whimsy, spray paint the feline leavings with an assortment of decorative colors. Something along the lines of a post-but-pre- Martha Stewart-on-bad-drugs exhibition. Quite colorful, really. By today's so-called standards would surely merit a lucrative grant or two.
Yet by any other color, cat plops are still just that. And some say art isn't about discovery of profound human truths.
