Almost cna't beleive this myself. Had a Citi Visa account reported as late in early 1997, and have a letter on Citi stationary verifying paid in ull settlement in mid 2000. Shows up as a paid charge off, paid on Aptil 1, 2003. Sent letter to Citi pointing out raging and called. Party on phone said this was wrong, and last negative was in 1997. "Drop dead" letter came one week later, however, telling me what had been reported was accurate. E-mail from Experian reporting results of their reinvestigationn with Citi has Citi now showing account "Paid Charge Off 6/2003, 90 days 5/2003, 60 days 4/2003". Are they that incompetent, or actaully spiteful? Anyone with experience dealing with them? We will be filing, in local Small Claims under FDCPA later this week. Thank you for any input. Will gladly report back my experience.
