We own a company and are in the state of Utah. One of our employees is filing bankruptcy and is past due on his credit cards. I have told the creditors to stop calling here since the employee works out in the field and cannot be reached in the office. Today I got a phone call from Bank of America from and extremely rude person- I informed her that he cannot be reached at this number and we have asked several times for the work number to be removed. The rep then got snotty with me and said they can do what they want and will keep calling the work phone number. I realize they think we are fielding his calls but we are not. What can I do as the employer to stop these phone calls. The employee is not calling them because of the fact he is going through the bankruptcy. Can we, as the employer, do a Cease & Desist Letter? Any help to stop us from being hassled by our employees creditors will be wonderful. Thanks.
