Received Letter from Credit Counseling Srvs saying I am being Sued By MBNA

I received a letter today titled District Court Informatation. The letter was from Phoenix Credit Counseling saying I am being sued by MBNA they even cite a case number. They are offering to negotiate a settlement for me. I never heard of this company. How come they were notified a lawsuit was filed and I was not notified? W&A never answered my debt validation letter or letter requesting proof I agreed to arbitration. W&A never responded. I have not paid on this card since 1999. I live in Maryland. HELP WHAT SHOULD I DO? I had no idea a lawsuit was filed
