On the positive side, you MAY not be subject to the 10 year SOL if this was a "store" account.And, the CA lawyer who is suing you may have no more records than you do to prove the status or legitimacy of the account.

The account was for woodworkers warehouse. It was a revolving charge account. If I remember right, they went though Benificial. My credit card only said wood workers warehouse on it though.
Could this maybe be a "store" account?
When going to court, Do I have to provide the burden of proof if I say it has been 10 years and they have no proof one way or another?
Is a "store" account SOL less than 10 years in RI?
