I have posted earlier this week regarding this and searched the archives but still haven't found the clear answer for these questions. Please help. Does the CA have to respond to a request for validation/verification of a Paid chargeoff TL ? Without using a goodwill letter, What is a good systematic approach to eliminate a Paid Chargeoff TL, that could result in a strong case for a lawsuit ? I have a PAID Chargeoff for 112.00 on my reports for a pager bill back in 2001. When I sent a request for validation, once in February and then now in August, I've only received a printout of the CA's account handling. I understand that this is not proper verification but I'm way out of the initial 30 day window so I don't know what to do next. I don't want to pursue this if there will be no merit in a court case. Disputing it as Inaccurate is the next way that comes to mind if I've missed the boat on verification.
