Well, that's one small victory...inquiry deletion by Equifax

I filed a dispute with Equifax regarding the hard inquiry that Merchants Credit pulled in retaliation for my disputing my so-called debt...got word today that Equifax investigated and is deleting the inquiry! Woo-hoo...

Still waiting for Transunion to respond to the derog they put on my TU report. No word from AG's office in CA or WA yet. FTC responded that I'd have to file an identity theft complaint, which as I mentioned before, I don't wish to go that route. BBB website wigged out every time I tried to complain there...maybe I'll try it again today.

Quick question for the legal minds...does the fact that the inquiry got disputed that easily prove that they know they are wrong and give me leverage in a potential lawsuit (once I get back the results of all the other disputes and complaints I've filed)? Even if my credit report is cleaned up after all this, I want them to pay me my statutory damages!
