Hi everyone...I posted a month ago about hubby being sued by asset acceptance. We filed a SOL answer to the lawsuit and went to pretrial. Thay argue that they beat the SOL by a mere 3 or 4 days! Tryed to intimidate hubby and offered a settlement of double the original balance and hubby basically told them to get screwed! Their lawer was maybe all of 25 and obviously fresh outta school cuz he didn't know much about what he was doing...lol. Anyway, the judge asked my husband if he would like time to get a lawer and he said yes so he gave us 120 days to do so. However...asset sent us a 1st request for addmissions. I am not quite sure what it is but they want him to admitt all these rediculous things about the case! Uh duh! Now why the heck would we be in court if we agreed??? My question is...these papers have the court name and case number and appear to be official court docs. but have no court stamp. Only signed by a notary. It says we have 28 days to answer. Is this even leagal when the judge gave us 120 days? Thanks in advance... Shell in Michigan
