BBBIIIGGGGGGG Problem....long

Heres the scoop. DD's BIL & SIL bk was discharged in July, 2000. Fast forward to March 03. These kids begin the process of obtaining FHA financing and have a prefab home built and delivered to dealer 100 miles away. They have to close in NM before water well, septic system, etc can be put in. They go to sign papers yesterday, and FHA has a red flag on their report. It seems they show a repo dated Feb,03 on the home they surrendered in BK. SIL talks to FHA, they will not tell her who is reporting, or how they are reporting. She calls me in a panic, and I told her to talk to the lender and see if they can find out who is reporting the info. I'm assuming if I can find out who is reporting, I can help her fax a validation request, and then follow up CRRR. It also affects my children and grandchildren, as they moved in with DH and I 12 weeks ago, expecting to move into the house BIL and SIL are now living in. Is there anything I can do to help this thing move along, or at least reassure them that all isn't lost? Thanks!
