OK, I'll jump in here! MOST people on this forum will advise you against CCCA's. My son started the Ameridebt program last year about this time, before I found these boards, and they have been very fair and good to him. I agree that there are lots of things you can do yourself and clean up your reports, but for him it was the right decision to make. His debt was only about $7000
overall, so he is more fortunate than others in that it won't take him a long time to pay off.
