Really patti that is strange. They are being sued by like half the states and you are the first good post about them I have seen in the last year. Usually people come on and say how they just stole their money and never paid the creditors on time.

The BBB of Metropolitan Washington DC reports that their file experience shows the firm has an unsatifactory record. Specifically, the file shows problems in the pattern of complaint activity as shown in both the nature of the disputes and in the number of complaints.

Based on BBB files, this company has an unsatisfactory record with Bureau due to both the pattern of complaint activity and the presence of unresolved and unanswered complaints

Illinois State Action On February 5, 2003 the Illinois Attorney General filed suit alleging that the company is not licensed to do business in Illinois and must cease doing business in that state until in full compliance with that state's law. The suit seeks repayment to Illinois residents for monies paid to Ameridebt and up to a $50,000 penalty for each violation of the state's Consumer Fraud Act

Based on BBB files, this company has an unsatisfactory record with the Bureau due to an unresolved complaint. Inquiries and complaints should be directed to the BBB of Metropolitan Washington DC, 1411 K St NW 10th Fl, Washington DC 20005-3404.
