Non-profit and CCC agencies do NOT help you. They negotiate with your creditors and usually agree to pay so much a month, sometimes for less than is owed, and it ususally isn't the minimum either...so it gets your accounts behind and behind and eventually even though you are paying them "technically." Non-profit agencies do not tell you that part, they wheel and deal and make it seem like they can fix it all but in reality, they pay just a part of your minimum amt. every month which gets you into a late status and after so many months they can charge you off! You would have done better to call the creditors yourself. I found that MOST will work with you. I had ALL of mine work with me, lower my APR, eliminate fees for 1 year, lower monthly payments for 1 year and so on. CCC's and Non-profits are SCAMS!
