It's fantastic -- you'll be inundated with credit offers immediately. So be wise and stay away from them. My advise, file now and stop the pain. Check out the book at this site: www.afterbankruptcy.org ---> "Credit After Bankruptcy" is excellent. I went to Stephen's free seminar and learned a ton. Also, after your BK is discharged get going on building your credit immediately with a secured credit card that reports to all three credit bureaus. Go to American Pacific Bank ---> www.apbank.com
Don't listen to the lies about BK 7 --- it is great and you can have decent credit in 2 years, good to great credit in less than five, if you follow the right program (read the book to build a knowledge base). If you've run up any large recent charges (within the last 60 days) beware -- do not file until that 60 days is up or those charges may come back to bite you. If you are thinking of filing, stop paying any unsecured credit card bills now and save your money.
I'm just finishing writing a book entitled: "Bankruptcy as a Personal Financial Strategy". It'll be a cheap e-book that you can download.
