Is LendingTree.com OK to use?

I am looking to buy a larger home. I was thinking of using LendingTree.com to get some offers. I have been very careful about not applying for credit and have also opted-out in order to keep my inquiries down. How many inquiries will be made if I apply online???? I'm afraid! I am looking into a no-doc mortgage because even though my credit is good, my husband is a self-employed musician and it is a pain in the ass to get the needed paperwork together and a profit-and-loss statement done to show our income. Any suggestions? I am in New Jersey.
