Hi. great site. It's about time consumers have a place to get some answers. here's my ongoing 8 year question. How EXACTLY are credit scores determined? I don't mean the Bs we are handed by Fair Isaac and all, but a clear, make sense answer. I have been working with people to get their scores up to get better loans for years. Usually by going through the dispute process we have some or alot of success. but recently (twice in 1 week) I have worked with people only to find their actuall credit improve but their scores drop substantially!!! I have contact our credit brokers, TU, Experian and Equifax and no one really seems to know? I egt the basic retoric about the narratives under the number should tell...baloney. I can show them at least 50 reports in the last 5 years alone that defy that explaination. I have also found them to be discriminatory, based on ones residence in certain areas. any suggestions?
