Doctor bill from December, 1997 turns out not to have been paid by my insurance company at the time since they never received the claim from the doctor. I received no bills of any kind from the doctor for over 5 1/2 years when out of the blue last month the bill from December, 1997 arrives in the mail. I no longer have the insurance but since the SOL for Illinois open ended accounts is five years is this bill now "out of range"? Of course it has now been given to a collection agency.
