I will make it short and sweet, we bought our home in NC in feb of this year, the home was listed on MLS with a 2 car garage detached,(aluminum on cement slab). 5 months later we get a letter from an attorney stating that the garage we thought we owned we dont, the original owners never paid for it, so the original finance co is saying that it is a portable garage and they want their collateral back, attached to this letter was a UCC filing, after I contact the attorney and told him his client isnt getting it as we bought the house with the garage he serves us today. this is a joke. they want not only the garage but 5,750.00. now the original owners bk 13 in 2003 it was dismissed. any ideas on this. is the UCC filing considered a lien, this house was foreclosed on when we purchased it. we had clear title so i thought. title co. did not check for UCC filings said they didnt have to,
