Long post, but any help/guidance/advice would be greatly appreciated.
I was contacted by RMA who notified me that I had less than 24 hours to pay a settlement on my balance. I proactively contacted them numerous times that same day and eventually they agreed to give me 30 days to come up with the settlement. RMA added that their employee that I was in contact with in the past should not have set up a pmt plan with me because it was "not within RMA guidelines" and has since been fired due to "extensive quality issues." (My second check of the pmt plan did not clear.)
Two days after they made the offer, I told RMA I arranged for the settlement but I MUST have something in writing sent to me in the mail and I would then send a certified check. RMA insisted that the $$ HAD to be wired IMMEDIATELY, same day. They hung up on me repeatedly and told me they were marking my file "refused to pay balance". ( Innuendos were made concerning what would happen to me.)

I have been proactively in contact with RMA and now I am extremely concerned about their behavior and conduct. I asked numerous times to speak with supervisors or upper mgmnt and was given the run around. When I tried to contact anyone other than the person that made the offer, I clearly heard him in the background demanding that the receptionist (or whatever RMA associate answers the incoming calls) hang up the phone and terminate calls from me "as per his instruction". At this point I do not trust RMA whatsoever. Each call with RMA is unproductive and I wind up extremely upset and in tears (which I think they love) even after I clearly communicate to them what I can, will and am able to do concerning satisfying my debt. RMA has argued with me, questioned my intelligence, made accusations and has asked me inappropriate questions. I am now highly concerned about further conversations with them. I realize I have neglected to make consistent pmt due to situations in the past that were out of my control and I know I am responsible for pmt. I am an honest, intelligent self-supportung individual and I feel that this situation is way out of line. As a result of their behavior and conduct, I am now concerned for my well being. Thank you in advance for any feedback and advice concerning RMA, their conduct, past history.
