CC's are always open accounts - see info on Why Chat's site, and don't listen to anyone who tells you it is a written account.

The CA will have to take you to court to get a judgment, just like the OC. No one can just go into court and say "I want a jdgment" - they have to have you served, and you get a chance to answer. Always answer, even when the account is past the SOL.
