Cap One was delinquent about 1.5 years ago. I did make a $200 payment about 8 months ago. I live in CA and the law office is CIR in San Diego. They are attorneys on behalf of Capital One.
1) Do I have any negoiation leverage w/these attorneys or are they going to make me pay the $1800 or go to court?
2) I have 28 days to answer the summons - if I answer "deny any knowledge" will this hurt me if this ends up going to court?
3) If it ends up going to court & I lose, will I have to pay the amount in full within a few days or can I set up payments?
