1) To answer your question...I live in California.
2) If Capital One wins are garinshing my wages the only way to pay the debt or can I set up payments? I can't have my wages garnished...I live paycheck to paycheck as it is.
3) I understand what you are saying about making the collectors prove the debt is mine. If they do prove it - then what?
4) Is contacting the original credit card company worth it? What do I ask for?
I'm dealing with 6 credit card companies (besides cap one) all opened in 2001 and went to collections in nov/dec 2002. I just want to be able to anser my phone at home/work without being scared a collector is calling.
