American Express must be running out of money. They have been sending this letter or a variation thereof around Florida lately. This is followed by phone messages indicating that they are going to turn the account over to legal.

As everyone else has already told you, send the sol letter and ignore them.

They are counting on you not knowing the sol and your rights. Don't send them 5 cents. If you do, you could reset the clock.

Can they do this ? Only if you let them.
