Last week I was notified that an order of default was entered by my county court in IL from a collection related to a Discover Card debt that is been handle by TXCOLLECT CA.

That account was charge off on 04/1999 with a balance of $2200. And just last month I had asked the CRAs to verified some items—including that debt-- from my credit reports in order to start cleaning my records.

What do I do now?, I am starting to receive lots of pamphlets and letters from attorneys offering me their services to file for bankruptcy, because according to their literature the “order of default” means that the CA may put a lien on any real estate under my name (I don’t have any) or they can have a wage deduction entered against me.
Who should I contact, or what do I suppose to do? Please, help me.
