My spouse and I filed for Bankruptcy (BK) about a year ago. One of the creditors is saying now over a year later that we need to return the items or pay a prorated amount for the value of the items. i was told that if they did not contact us before or during the BK, then they could not attempt to regain lost money once we have been discharged. the creditor forwarded the account to some bk division that sent us a letter saying that either we send back the items, pay, or they will file a judgement. I don't have the letter in front of me, but they quoted some regulation on it. i am confused. Bk for us was our last choice, but now a year later it seems we are still not free...so our credit is scarred for what could be ten years and now we still have to pay...Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
