You're correct, the SOL in TX is only 4 years... and that clock started ticking August 1997 ! So, the SOL ran out in 2001.

Send Westmoreland WhyChat's notification of SOL/C&D letter and get rid of them. You do NOT have to pay it and they cannot force you to do so by suing.

The only dates that REALLY matter are the 'date of last activity'..ie. last payment or charge.. and the come-off date (Experian). If the DOLA is changed to something more recent, then you get them for illegal re-aging of the debt.

All the other dates only refer to when Cap1 bought the account and when they last reported on it to the credit bureaus.
