I have been working on my credit for over a year now. I am currently redisputing some items with the CB's. They keep telling me that they have already verified these items. I have sent the validation letters to the creditors and they have ignored them with no response. I then sent the copies of these letters to the CB's asking for removal because they were not verified. The CB's just keep responding that they have already verified them and refuse to remove them.

Can anyone suggest what I should try next? And how do the CB's verify debts? Do they just match a name to an account number? Is that legal? Don't they need a signed contract as proof of debt?

Thanks for your help.

P.S. This is a GREAT site!
