CheckSystems

I have a problem and i hope somebody out there can give e some pretty good advice. My ex-girlfriend was owing her bank so she asked me to deposit a check that she was expecting into my account for her but just around that time we broke up by which time i have already deposited the check in my account. She turns around and make a stop payment on the check so i now find myself on checksystems.
I have made payment arrangements with the bank but my understanding is that even after i finish paying them i am not going to be taken off checksystems.I need somebody's advice on how to deal with this craziness.
