HL - email me and I can send you some information. Nothing in the FDCPA mentions 'overshadowing', it is an interpretation of the law by the courts regarding Section 809 'Validation of Debts' in the Act.

The decisions were based on whether or not the 'least sophisticated consumer' would be confused by the language of a collection letter that contained demands for immediate payment along with the consumer's rights to validate the debt.
