Is Credit Card Debt transferable to the living member of the family after death?
My father died a year ago and his Credit Cards company are still trying to get me to pay for his debt. Every credit cards owned by my father is cancel and each companys receive one of the original or copy of my father death certificate. But still few of them are still calling me and asking for payment. I alway reply that the cards belong to my father and that his name was the only name on the card. That I own them notthing for I wasn't using it.
But then I will get a reply saying that the card was use for the family and will be pay by the family.
Is that right? Can someone please help me.
