I got hammered in court today

Just letting anyone who has debt in Fl that the SOL for open accounts is 5 years not 4, or at least that is what the judge argued with me today in court. I got hammered on interest, court fees and attorney fees for $1800 on an original debt of $500. I tried to argue but she was an ignorant, cynical person just interested in getting through all her cases as fast as possible. It makes me sick, not just the money, but how I wasn't really allowed an opportunity to present my case.
