About three weeks ago, I recieved a letter in the mail from Jbc & asscoaties stating that I must pay them $2,900 or I will be sued. I immidaitly called the 1-800 number and spoke to a very rude woman who told me I owwd the money because of a check I had written in 2000 for $780. She than stated that if I do not pay them hail the amount buy next week I would be sued. I did bounce a check three years ago. I have done some research on this supposive law firm and most say they are fraudulant, but does anybody now for sure? I do not want to pay a company that is just a scam, but would really like to resolve this matter. Oh, the also stated they sent me a certified letter which i never recived. I would greatlt appreciate any advice or information on JBC.
