The account did charge off. They told me so, and also stated that even though it charged off i am still required to pay, obviously. That was not a problem. I have to admit I have promised to pay in the past, and have not done so, so being promised payments and not getting them obviously was not the right thing to do, and got them fed up, so they charged off.

Again, I want to start paying this and I know if I send this "attorney" something like $400.00 each month they will be angry. What do I do? Do I just send them money, "quick collect" as they want? The lady wants $3000 by the 15th. I cannot do this, but can send $400 to 500. Do you think that they will actually start proceedings even though I pay them something? I really do plan to pay this entire debt, and I dont want a so called "discount" by the end of the year. I owe Sears $4000 and that is what I wanted to pay.

I am sending a certified letter as Patti suggested today stating these facts. Do you think this will help?
