Ok.. so if you last paid some time last year, then the debt HAS been charged-off. You could very well be looking at the possibility of a lawsuit, unfortunately. Crap1 is nasty.. you DON'T want them in your wallet !

I did some searching, Moore & Associates is a COLLECTION AGENCY, they are listed as licensed in the state of CT as such. They are a law office, but their primary function is debt collection.

If you cannot pay what they want, and you have nothing they can take from you, then there's not a whole lot to worry about at this point. If you don't make enough per week in wages, they can't even garnish your wages IF they sued you and won.

If you want the calls to stop, send them a limited Cease and Desist letter, certified, and tell them to contact you by MAIL ONLY. IF they do sue, then you worry about your options, etc.

They can't squeeze blood out of a turnip ;)
