Your personal credit report does not contain the same information that a lender sees.Well,The basic information about your good accounts, negative information and so on.It does not contain the warnings about balances too high to credit limits and the excitement generated by closing an account because you don't have a use for that one anymore. They didn't see the need to warn potential lenders that I paid off a current credit card with an over a thousand dollar single payment. The account I terminated was a gas card whose stations were closed where I live.I paid it off before I closed the account that amounted to a whopping $35.00 It takes 30 days to investigate disputes and then they usually do not resolve the dispute. My 2 disputes have come back the same even though I have the proof that was obtained from the same source the credit bureau was supposed to have checked .There are loopholes the size of Texas in the current system. When I checked my report from trans union, the hard inquiry from whitewing is there.trans union wants 15 more days to investigate this(on top of the 30 days) when it is clearly in front of them.whitewing has stopped calling at least for now,but since trans union considers ANY debt,no matter how old a "PERMISSABLE PURPOSE" what is to stop whitewing from placing hard inquiries every 30 to 90 days ?
