Colleen, the Lawyer's name, address and phone number is provided on the summons. The summons also provides the Civil Court's address, however the civil case number you mentioned is not provided. There is a part on the summon's where it says Index No., but it was left blank. I just feel the summons is not legit because it's dated 7/10/03 and also because there is no name on the return address only a P.O Box in a different borough, which is not where the lawyer is located. Are bogus summon's by collection agencies a common thing? Thanks for all your help.
