For this you can countersue them and please report them to the FTC as well as the FL Div. Banking. Validation requires complete payment and charging history on the account, a month's statement doesn't even begin to make the bar. Sue them, report them. Call the FTC right away, write to the FL agency. You may find these vomit-bags will leave you alone. Let them know that you are more trouble than you are worth. Make trouble - legal trouble - for them. It's what they most fear thus in the fashion of all cowardly predators it's why they try to do the same to us.

Remember these are criminals at heart, the mentality of the crook is all over their conduct like lice on a 'collections professional'.
