Summons - PROPER PROOF OF SERVICE?

Question on proof of service. Last week I was served a summons. On the "Notice to Plaintiffs Cases of Limited Jurisdiction" under Service of Summons, Compaint & Answer it states: Within 60 days of filing, the complaint must be served & a proof of service filed with the court.

THE COMPLAINT WAS FILLED ON JUNE 27, 2003 & I WAS SERVED ON AUGUST 30..DO I HAVE ANY RECOURSE?

ALSO, CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT GOES ON AT A CASE MANAGMENT CONFERENCE?
