It sounds like from your note that your wife added you as an authorized user. If in fact you never SIGNED anything to be added to this account, I believe you should start getting a little nasty with them. If this was some kind of funky internet application, it depends on how the addition was made.

I would start off with a CRRR letter to the bank demanding that either they provide you proof that you signed the application or delete the tradeline on your credit report.

Once you get the CRRR back, I'd CRRR to the CRA disputing it as not yours and clearly explaining that you are disputing the item with the OC as invalid since you never signed for the card. Probably wouldn't hurt to include a copy of the letter to the bank.

If you don't get a response you are happy with from the two of them within a reasonable time period (30 days), it's probably ITS time. The OC could be in violation since they are prohibited by FCRA from placing invalid information on your report.
