Judgement

Help!! There was a Judgement against me from Chase Manhattan for $7000. They were able to take $279 from my checking account last Friday. I didn't know anything until I checked my balance today. Called the bank and they told me that it was a judgement from Chase. Can they begin to garnish my wages? How can I find out more about what they can do??

Please help!!
