First of all, if they are actually SAYING they will sue then they'd damn well better do it - otherwise they're digging themselves a big hole of FDCPA violations. Threatening legal action they either cannot or do not INTEND to take is a violation. Tape the calls, get the evidence on tape. Ignore their stupid demands for information about his employer or the lawyer comments, they're full of bull.

I would suggest sending a limited C&D in which you limit them to mail only contact. If your husband gets ill over their threats and call, document every single incident - you can sue for actual damages and that would certainly qualify !
